Fishing

Assynt is a truly world-class fishing destination, with some of the finest native Wild Brown Trout fishing in Europe, if not the world. There are literally hundreds of idyllic, unspoiled hill lochs where
you can feel like the first person to ever wet a line as well as a surprising amount of wonderful roadside and easily accessible water to explore. Some of these waters also have migratory Sea Trout and Salmon passing through them, so given the incredibly good value of a £5.00 day ticket it really is not to be missed!

There are two beautiful and exciting Highland spate rivers for those seeking the illustrious Atlantic Salmon, the Inver and the Kirkaig, this challenging pursuit it is well worth it if the desired result is achieved! But it does not end there, add to that some incredibly productive sea fishing from boat and shore and you have the makings of the angling trip of a lifetime or simply a great opportunity to have a try at angling when you are here.

Tight lines!
