A two mile coastal walk with glorious views.
Starting at the Clachtoll beach car park the walker is directed towards the iron age remains on top of Clachtoll's famous split rock sing noting some geological features on the way. Returning towards the car park the trail goes via a more recent Salmon Bothy and several small archaeological features to the ruins of Clachtoll's massive Iron Age Broch .
Out to sea a variety of sea birds and sometimes also cetaceans can be seen, and on clear days Skye and the Hebrides are clearly visible on the horizon. The walk is relatively easy but has some short steep sections and boggy ground.
