The longest of the Heritage Trails this one starts at the entrance to Ledmore Marble Quarry.
It is about three and a half miles long, some along road and track but most of it on rougher ground, some of it very boggy at times and some of it also hilly. The whole area is geologically interesting and was once the best farmland in Assynt.
Ledbeg House, built in the 1740's was the home of the estate factor in the eighteenth and early nineteenth century and along the trail you also pass three Neolithic and one probable Bronze Age cairns, part of an extensive cluster in this part of Assynt, a much later Ox Byre, Sheep Fank, Stell and small Farmsteadin an area of wide and extensive views.
